Oh my gosh - I too am someone who was eagerly anticipating the arrival of this new game and eagerly did a full installation yesterday the day it arrived on my doorstep. But I am only a bit into the first case for the second time because the first time I thought I must be doing somethign wrong and the bugs are frequent and bothersome. I have two click twice on questions almost all the time before they get asked.
And after awhile things start disappearing the pictures of items I've collected, text on my tool box, etc. What I've seen and done so far is exciting which is why I'm being optimistic and giving three stars - I suspect that with the bugs fixed it will be a five star product but not now!
Definitely watch the UBI website and wait for corrections or upgrades or, if you buy it, steel yourself for likely disappointment. This is a fab game - great storylines, characters, and awesome graphics - but forget playing it.
It has more bugs than any software I've ever seen - when you find evidence, to keep the game going, it refuses to recognize it. There's absolutely no way to go back and get it to either it does autosave constantly, no scenes or anything , so you just have to start over again from scratch - and they make you start every time with a different name, hell, I'm running out of names - or any hope of solving a case.
My computer's a high performance custom system, and I'm not having trouble with anything else. They got excellent artists for this, but the programmers must be way under par. I like the shows, the game could be better but its good for a rainy boring day. I figure if it at least works without crashing I can live with it if it strokes my gray matter a little.
The game doesn't work can not finish first case. Tried all the walk throughs and got the patch for it and it doesn't work so i wasted my money. I had the game yrs. Iloved it that's why i decided to replace it. I do realize it isn't Amazons fault but Ihey should check ou all used games to see if they work before they sell them. I will say the shipping was fantastic very pleased with the arrival. I have never been one to enjoy shooting games and found games like Myst to be a bit boring.

Human bones are dug up at a construction site for a new casino. It is believed the site is an ancient Indian burial ground. You work with Sara Sidle in this case. Suspects include the previous owner of the land, the construction supervisor, a university lecturer and a well-known psychic who had visions of when the victim was still alive. A woman is shot dead during a rehearsal for a play, apparently shot with a prop gun. You will work with Nick Stokes in this mission.
The suspects of this case are a fellow actress with whom the victim may have been having an affair with, the victim's husband and the stage manager. A poisonous Komodo is killed at a casino circus and a human toe is found in its cage. Who got this peaceful predator to attack the victim anyway? You work with Gil Grissom on this case. The suspects involved are the circus ringleader, a missing security guard, a funeral director, a local doctor and a retired Ukrainian air-force pilot.
